A gallery from Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens always has a treat in store no matter what time of year you Ā visit. I did have to drag myself there last week, expecting there to be nothing but mud and bare branches but after stumbling out of the Palm House in a sweat, I spotted an oasis of pink in the middle distance. I rushed over to find a spectacular Ā array of Magnolia trees in full bloom. Lots of Japanese tourists had Ā gathered and were busy taking selfies in their midst so of course I had to join in.

The Palm House is a constant source of inspiration for me. The incredible leaves silhouetted against the glass create instant textile designs. I set myself a little project to take more abstract photos than I usually would, and here are a few of them.

This fine specimen of a fox was so bold he practically walked over my feet! I was waiting to see if he would jump in the lake and eat the ducks.
