Dusk in South Africa
One evening in South Africa, a deep mist rolled over the Kogelberg Nature Reserve at twilight. The skies turned mesmerising shades of peach and coral, highlighting the unique silhouettes of the native fynbos.

These images became the inspiration for our best-selling Dusk bed-linen. I recreated the softness of the light by hand-painting large swathes of dye onto watercolour paper. The greys and pinks bled into one another to create the smoky backdrop. The silhouette of slender fynbos stems were exposed onto a screen and were hand-printed onto the paper, once in slate grey and a second layer in my current favourite shade, plaster pink.
