I read somewhere that everyone is nosey, I know I certainly am! That is why we all like to see what is really going on behind the scenes...
 
Over the past couple of weeks, the studio and my house have been turned upside down as we have been taking photos of all our new products. Good photography is everything nowadays, so I have invested heavily and hired a professional photographer and stylist, which I hope will be worth the small fortune it has cost! My son said ‘Oh not again!’ when he saw Alex the photographer’s face yesterday morning, knowing that there would be a sofa in his bedroom for the day and no kitchen table that night as it was in our bedroom!

I thought it might be entertaining to share some of the trickery and chaos that takes place on a photo shoot...from bending palm leaves to capture the perfect frond in just the right position, to steaming the living daylights out of a duvet cover to make it as smooth as humanly possible.

This has to be my favourite hack on a rainy day.... How to get that lovely dappled light look using a fake tree! I wish someone could follow me around all day shining that light over me.

This was fun... taking over Kissawa, the Japanese café next door, for a shot of our new laptop case. Sophie enjoyed the perfect matcha latte afterwards!

We have also discovered that a roll of vinyl flooring can spruce up any horrible scuffed floor!

By far my favourite day was in Clissold Park, shooting our scarves and bags in the trees. I must say I don’t love modelling... but at least I am free 😅. The sun shone, and all the botanical patterns just looked stunning amongst the turning leaves.
