Strata

Inspired by the different layers and textures of rock strata, this painterly striped design evolved from torn strips of hand painted paper, collaged into one giant piece of artwork. The result captured the subtle gradations of the watercolour technique, where you can see every brushstroke and delicate blend of colour.
