I thought it was time for a quick behind the scenes catch up, although I have been on holiday quite a lot this month and have left the team roasting in the studio, which I feel very guilty about! Our building has a glass roof, which looks great and gives us heaps of natural daylight, but is horribly impractical, especially in summer. The thermostat showed that the studio hit record temperatures 37°C 😬 Thank goodness it has cooled down a bit now.

Unveiling new artwork
First up, we have just launched some new printed giclee artwork that coordinate perfectly with the bed linen designs. They are printed to order, are available in 3 sizes and are perfect if you need a little something to fill a gap on your bedroom wall.

A visit to Columbia Road
Earlier in the month I headed to the Columbia Road Flower Market with a plan to just buy a bunch or two, but inevitably went crazy buying flowers, so many I could hardly manage to carry them all back on the train! My top tip is to go around 3pm just as the market is closing, as they sell everything off for a song. I spent a few very happy days taking photos of them to use for design and colour inspiration.

Too early to talk scarves?
Even though I know one can’t so much as look at a cashmere scarf at the moment, we are having to think ahead to when the weather inevitably turns cooler. We have recoloured a few favourites and added some new designs to the mix and are expecting the new samples any day.

Hot cats
I feel very sorry for the cats in the heat with their thick fur coats. They also appear to be a bit dim and are certainly not finding the coolest spots to sleep in. Lulu seems to think that if her head is in the shade, her body is too.

Wallpaper coming very soon...
And finally… the sample rolls of the new wallpaper collection have arrived from our suppliers, and they are amazing! We are just waiting for the last technical work to be completed before we can go ahead and launch the new collection.
